Zanesville celebrates itself with 33rd annual Homespun Day this Saturday

Photo shows former Zanesville Postmaster Robert Clark (at left) with an unknown postal carrier bringing mail by horse-drawn buggy from Roanoke in 1912. Clark is standing in front of the door to the post office, then located at the corner of Wayne and Scott streets. The building was lost to fire in 1929. Another former Zanesville postmaster, Rosemary Kumfer, will be the grand marshal of this year’s Homespun Day parade on Saturday, Sept. 5.
