Roanoke’s new royalty

In its inaugural pageant held during the Roanoke Fall Festival, Harper Sue Ziliak (left) and Kaden Kreider were crowned Little Miss Roanoke and Little Mr. Roanoke, respectively, on Thursday, Sept. 5, at Roanoke Park. Harper, 7, of Fort Wayne, is the daughter of Danielle Giokaris and Zach Ziliak. Kaden, 5, is the son of Tayler and Kelli Kreider, of South Whitley.

Three parades, many competitions await at Roanoke Fall Festival this weekend

Roanoke always brings its best to its annual Fall Festival, held this year on two days, Friday, Sept. 6, and Saturday, Sept. 7. With three parades, a large variety of festival food and competitions ranging from pizza eating to a demolition derby, Roanoke’s town park will be buzzing with excitement and lots to do.
