Calendar flipping back to ‘50s at 55th annual Heritage Days

The calendar will be flipped back to the 1950s at the 55th annual Huntington Heritage Days festival, starting Wednesday, June 20, and running through Sunday, June 24.

The festival, which is being sponsored by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2689 this year, is themed “The ‘50s: Community Strong.”

Eric Clancy Jazz to again provide JeFFFest music

Eric Clancy Jazz will provide the music for this year’s JeFFFest, set for June 24 in downtown Huntington from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The jazz group has performed at JeFFFest every year since 2009. Vocalist Shannon Persinger will join the ensemble.

Edward Jones financial advisors are sponsoring the music.

Tables and chairs will be set up on Jefferson Street to help accommodate the crowd, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own seating to be assured of having a place to sit.
