56th annual Heritage Days kicks off county’s festival season

The start of Huntington County’s summer festival season kicks off this week with the 56th annual Huntington Heritage Days, June 19 to June 23, with Gerdau Huntington Facility serving as the festival sponsor.

Heritage Days gives residents, former residents and visitors a great reason to enjoy being with their families and having fun together, says Huntington County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Steve Kimmel.

Historical society to host trivia contest June 19-22

The Huntington County Historical Society will present its second annual “What Is It?” contest during Huntington Heritage Days at the Huntington County Historical Museum from June 19 to 22.

The public is invited to visit the museum and attempt to identify 20 historical objects on display. The contestant who identifies the most objects will win a $20 museum gift shop voucher.

The contest will be held June 19 through 21 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and June 22, which will be an open house, from noon to 4 p.m.
