House walk to be featured event of Andrews Western Days

Organizations in Andrews are gearing up for the 2010 Andrews Western Days to be held Thursday, Aug. 12, through Saturday, Aug. 14.

Activities are scheduled Thursday evening and all day Friday and Saturday.

One of the main new attractions at the festival is the Historic House Walk, sponsored by the Andrews Library, on Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The walk will feature five homes in the Andrews area as well as the Andrews-Dallas Township Public Library. Refreshments will be available at the library.

HNHS bands set free concert on Tuesday

The Huntington North High School Band Department will be hosting a Winter/Christmas Concert on Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Huntington North auditorium.

Admission is free to the event, which will feature the Fall Concert Band, the Freshman Viking Band and the concert version of the Marching Vikes.

The bands will perform a variety of music, including Christmas music, marches and traditional band literature.
