Last May, the Huntington University baseball team was finishing up its season. The Foresters’ final game came at Forest Glen Park, their prized home field, tucked away in a scenic wooded valley on the north end of campus.
A month later, most of the park, including the dugout where players and coaches sat weeks earlier, would be gone.
The field stayed. So did the lights. But everything else was razed as an $800,000 renovation project commenced, filling the park with the sound of hammers rather than baseball bats.
