Master Gardeners sponsoring two new achievement awards

The Huntington County Master Gardeners are sponsoring two new 4-H achievement awards for youth enrolled in Garden and Floriculture.

Applications will be accepted until May 31. To be eligible, a 4-H member must be enrolled in the 4-H Garden or 4-H Floriculture project a minimum of five years, including the current year.

Applicants must complete project requirements for the current year and submit project paperwork and record sheets to their 4-H club leader prior to project judging.

The application process involves answering questions about 4-H projects, awards/honors received, leadership and citizenship experiences within the 4-H program and in the community and describing two to three important items learned through the 4-H Garden or 4-H Floriculture project.

Each winner will receive an engraved plaque and $50 cash to be presented during the 4-H Awards Program at the Huntington County 4-H Fair on July 29.
