Huntington County Sheriff Terry Stoffel recently announced that the Indiana Sheriff's Association (ISA) will again be awarding scholarships to qualified high school seniors or college students pursuing a degree in criminal justice studies.
Approximately 40 $500 scholarships will be made available for qualified applicants. Scholarship requirements include:
• The student must be an Indiana resident.
• He or she must be a current member of the ISA or a dependent child or grandchild of a current ISA member.
• The student must attend an Indiana college or university and enrolled as a full time student (at least 12 credit hours), majoring in a law enforcement field.
Applications are available from high school counselors, the sheriff's department or by writing to Indiana Sheriff's Association, 147 E. Maryland St., Indianapolis, IN 46204-3608.
The deadline for all applications is April 1.
