The Huntington County Board of Zoning Appeals will consider six requests when it meets on Tuesday, July 28.
The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the G.A.R. Room on the second floor of the Huntington County Courthouse. It is open to the public.
Items on the agenda include:
• A request by Joseph Mandarino, requesting a special exception that would allow him to sell and store scooters at 838 S. Broadway.
• Requests from the Huntington County Community School Corporation to place wireless communication towers on two school properties - Lancaster and Northwest.
• A request by Phillip Shafer to allow a flag lot (a lot connected to the road by only a narrow driveway) at 8496 W. Division Rd., Andrews.
• A request by Helen Laymon to split off a piece of land that would fail to meet a zoning requirement that the depth of small lots can't be more than three times the width. Laymon is also requesting a five-foot variance from the 25-foot side yard setback for a barn on the property, located at 829N-800W, Andrews.
• Raymond and Betty Pippert are seeking permission to place four homes in a planned unit development on a 21.28-acre lot on the south side of CR 600N, between CR 200E and CR 250E.
