Counlty zoning board has six requests on agenda

The Huntington County Board of Zoning Appeals will consider six requests when it meets on Tuesday, July 28.

The meeting will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the G.A.R. Room on the second floor of the Huntington County Courthouse. It is open to the public.

Items on the agenda include:
• A request by Joseph Mandarino, requesting a special exception that would allow him to sell and store scooters at 838 S. Broadway.

• Requests from the Huntington County Community School Corporation to place wireless communication towers on two school properties - Lancaster and Northwest.

• A request by Phillip Shafer to allow a flag lot (a lot connected to the road by only a narrow driveway) at 8496 W. Division Rd., Andrews.

• A request by Helen Laymon to split off a piece of land that would fail to meet a zoning requirement that the depth of small lots can't be more than three times the width. Laymon is also requesting a five-foot variance from the 25-foot side yard setback for a barn on the property, located at 829N-800W, Andrews.

• Raymond and Betty Pippert are seeking permission to place four homes in a planned unit development on a 21.28-acre lot on the south side of CR 600N, between CR 200E and CR 250E.
