Four retained on REMC board

Four members of the United REMC board of directors were re-elected to serve another term in voting held at the utility's recent annual meeting, on June 9 at the co-op office.

Steven A. Williams was re-elected to represent District 1, which includes Warren and Dallas townships, Huntington County, and the territory served in Chester and Lagro townships, Wabash County and Cleveland Township, Whitley County.

Williams has worked as the service manager at W.A. Zimmer Co. in Huntington since early 2005 and is the former owner of Williams & Sons Construction, Huntington.
A graduate of Huntington North High School, he holds a bachelor's degree in organizational management from Huntington University.

Gary Fausz was re-elected to represent District 4, which includes Lafayette and Aboite townships, Allen County; and Union Township, Wells County.

He has owned and operated G&R Sales and Service, near Zanesville, for the past 32 years.

Fausz is a graduate of Norwell High School, and holds an associate's degree in agricultural equipment technology from Clark County Technical Institute.

Re-elected to represent District 7 was John Anson. His district includes Polk and Wayne townships, Huntington County; and territory served in Washington, Grant County; and Liberty Township, Wabash County.

Anson has been involved in grain farming and the swine genetic business for the past 15 years.

He is a graduate of Huntington North High School and is a member of the Andrews Lions Club.

Ralph Keefer was re-elected to represent District 10, which includes Rock Creek, Liberty and Chester townships, Wells County.

He is an electrical engineering manager at LH Controls and Automation. A graduate of Wabash High School, he is a member of the Aircraft Owners and Plots Association.
REMC board members serve three-year terms.

All registered United REMC are eligible to vote for all the candidates running each year.

In all there are 11 members on the board.
