The Indiana Department of Transportation has started maintenance projects on Ind.-114 in Huntington and Wabash counties.
A crew from E&B Paving is preparing to resurface the highway between Ind.-9 and U.S.-24. Through traffic will be permitted under the direction of flaggers, with single lane traffic in alternating directions. The project is scheduled for completion in October.
A bridge over the west fork of Clear Creek, between CR 200W and South Washington Road about 12 miles east of North Manchester, is being replaced. The road is closed at the bridge, with work scheduled to be completed at the end of August.
Bridge work on Ind.-114 just west of North Manchester - between CR 100W/Miller Road and Ind.-13 - will cause intermittent traffic restrictions through the first week of July. INDOT has hired R.L. McCoy, based in Columbia City, to perform what it calls proactive maintenance work on the bridge over Clear Creek. Flaggers will direct traffic as needed while the work is in progress.
