The Friends of Ouabache State Park has announced plans to place a monument at the park in Bluffton to honor members of the Civilian Conservation Corps who helped build the park more than 80 years ago.
The group plans to begin raising funds for the six-foot bronze statue.
Donations may be sent to Ouabache State Park, 4930 E. Ind.-201, Bluffton, IN 46714. Checks should be made payable to the Wells County Foundation and designated for Friends of Ouabache.
