Seeking nominations for Peare, Kay awards
Sunday, September 2, 2012 10:53 AM
The Parkview Huntington Foundation invites health care professionals and the public to submit nominations for the Dr. R. B. Peare and Dr. John B. Kay Award.
The award recognizes contributions to excellence in local health care and is named in honor of two prominent Huntington physicians who were instrumental in advancing area health services and in establishing the current Parkview Huntington Hospital. Submissions will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Sept. 21.
The award will go to an individual, group or organization whose significant and lasting contribution to the advancement of health care in Huntington County and the surrounding area must have occurred primarily from 1960 to the present.
Nominations should be 100 words or less in a typed format and can be hand-delivered or mailed to the foundation office at Parkview Huntington Hospital, 2001 Stults Rd., Huntington, IN 46750, or emailed to foundation director Mike Perkins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
For further information, contact the Parkview Huntington Foundation office at 355-3310.
A committee consisting of hospital and community representatives will consider all nominations and select the recipient.
The announcement of the award recipient will be made at the 2012 Parkview Huntington Community Gala to be held at Parkview Huntington Hospital on Saturday, Oct. 27.
