Monday, September 10, 2012 7:37 AM
Huntington County Habitat for Humanity will acquire the services of a volunteer coordinator through the AmeriCorps program.
Margo Crawford will join the local Habitat office in early September. Beginning on Sept. 29, she will coordinate volunteers at the ReStore and on the construction site for the next year.
She can be reached at the Habitat office at 356-7425 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Huntington County Habitat was one of 18 organizations in Indiana receiving a total of $3.8 million in AmeriCorps grants from the Corporation for National and Community Service. The grants will support a total of 635 full and part-time AmeriCorps members.
AmeriCorps programs in Indiana are administered by the Indiana Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives on behalf of the Indiana Commission on Community Service and Volunteerism.
