Ann Smith to lead art class in Wabash

The Wabash Art Guild will host a watercolor painting workshop on Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Wabash Christian Church, located at the corner of Hill and Miami streets in Wabash.
The workshop is open to all artists.
The instructor is Ann Smith, of Huntington. Smith has taught weekly watercolor painting classes since 1995 and has also instructed adult education classes. Her work has won awards at many area fine art shows.
Starting with a traced drawing of a basket of hydrangeas, Smith will explain and provide a step-by-step demonstration of many of her techniques, including color mixing.
Set-up begins at 8:30 a.m. and the workshop will last from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a break for lunch. Participants should being a sack lunch.
