The Huntington County 4-H Fair Association is teaming up with Salamonie Mills and Central States Grain, in conjunction with area farmers, for the first fall harvest fundraiser, "Agriculture Helping 4-H."

The 4-H Fair Association, along with Salamonie Mills and Central States Grain will visit with area farmers this fall to collect their tax-deductible donations of grain. Mailers will be sent with pick-up dates that are predetermined as harvest approaches.

Farmers willing to donate grain should contact fair board members.  Grain not being picked up on the farm can still be donated throughout the year at Salamonie Mills facilities in Warren, Simpson and Markle or at Central States Grain in care of the Huntington County 4-H Fair Association.

Proceeds from the grain drive will be used for a variety of infrastructure projects at the fairgrounds for the upcoming 2013 4-H Fair.
