PAL flag football will raise funds for cancer research
Monday, September 24, 2012 7:53 AM
The Huntington PAL Club will host a special flag football event every Saturday in October to raise funds for breast cancer research.
Donation opportunities and "pink out" gear for adults and players will be available.
Players and families will support the cause by wearing pink during the October flag football games.
The fund-raisers will benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation.
Since 1998, the foundation has contributed $15 million to the research team at the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center, in Indianapolis.
"We're delighted that the Huntington County PAL Club is raising funds for breast cancer research," says Catherine Hill, executive director of the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. "We love their help in spreading the word about the important work of the Vera Bradley Foundation."
