Warren to have two new holiday events
Thursday, September 27, 2012 7:48 AM
A new organization in Warren is seeking businesses to participate in two holiday events.
Historic Warren, a new initiative of the Main Street downtown revitalization program, will sponsor a Holiday Walk and Festival of Trees on Nov. 16. The events will coincide with opening night for "The Christmas Story" at the Pulse Opera House in downtown Warren.
Businesses participating in the Holiday Walk will open their doors from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., offering coupons, special deals and edible treats to visitors. Guests will receive a map of participating businesses and special promotions.
For information on participating, contact Judy Lewis at 228-0395 or oma@only internet.net; or Danielle Shaw at 375-2121 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Businesses may also sign up to host Christmas trees decorated by clubs, church groups and individuals. A map of the trees will be distributed, and guests will visit the businesses to view the trees and vote on their favorites by making donations to the Warren Ministerial Association. The winning tree will receive a prize of Warren Chamber Bucks. To host a tree, contact Cheryl DeWeese at 228-0392 or Ruth Swanson at 750-1798 or drswanson@citznet. com.
Businesses must sign up to participate by Oct. 1.
