Karing for Kids is accepting referrals of children to receive Christmas gifts through the organization's Christmas Angel Tree project.

Referrals must be made by a school counselor or, if the child is not yet in school, by an area social service agency.

Children must live in Huntington or Wells counties.
They must be 18 years or younger, with 18-year-olds qualifying only if they are still in high school.
The deadline for referrals is Oct. 12.

Each child will be provided with eight gifts including clothing, shoes, socks, underwear, a coat and two toys or age-appropriate extras.
