Five members of the Huntington County 4-H horse and pony program competed at the Indiana State Fair in August. The local competitors were (from left) Savanna Stoltz, who placed first in hunter under saddle eighth and ninth grades, second in showmanship and fifth in hunt seat equitation; Nicole Eckert, who placed third in showmanship and fourth in hunter under saddle eighth and ninth grades; Kaitlyn Drayer, who placed third in English type mares 16 years and older and ninth in English equitation; Tory Couch, who placed third in English type geldings 11 to 15 years old; and Amara Eckert, who placed second in showmanship for third, fourth and fifth grades, third in English pleasure and third in English equitation.
