Local florists add finishing touches at Housewalk

Local florists have created custom designs to accent the four homes included on the Tri Kappa Housewalk, to be held on Sunday, Oct. 14, from noon to 6 p.m.

Town and Country Flowers, Gifts and Interiors is providing arrangements for the homes of Mike and Stacy Haggerty, 8663S-200E, Warren, and Shawn and Michelle Haupert, 5659N-900W, Andrews.

Huntington Nursery/Wehr Into Flowers is decorating the home of Bob and Abbey Bolen, 2834N-300E, Huntington.
Designs by Pam has created arrangements for the home of Donna Hedrick, 3755 W. Division Rd., Huntington.
All arrangements created by the florists for the housewalk homes will be available for purchase. Details will be available from Tri Kappa representatives at the homes.

In addition to the four homes, the housewalk will also feature the former coil factory building in Roanoke. The 36,000-square-foot building has been renovated to provide space for several businesses, with renovations to the future site of the Roanoke Public Library ongoing.

The Haggerty home will host the Kappa Konfections Shoppe, where visitors can purchase homemade noodles, caramel corn, pies, cookies and other items made by Tri Kappa members. Free-will donations will be accepted for all items.

Discounted housewalk tickets are available in advance at First Federal Savings Bank, north downtown and south locations in Huntington; Bippus State Bank, north and south offices; Dorothy's Hallmark, at Huntington Plaza; Campbell and Dye Insurance Company, in Warren; and The Joseph Decuis Emporium, in Roanoke.

Full-price tickets will also be available at the door.
