Huntington North High School's Varsity Singers will present their 28th annual Pomp & Plenty dinner and show Nov. 17 and 18, with a new twist on this year's dinner.

Instead of a chicken and noodle dinner served in the school cafeteria, this year's event will feature a gourmet meal prepared by culinary arts students from Ivy Tech. The meal will be served in the HNHS commons overlooking a lighted courtyard.

Dinner will be served prior to the Saturday evening show, with doors opening at 5 p.m. for hors d'oeuvres of mountain crostini with ham and apple cream, niçoise canapes and skewered caprese salad.

Dinner will follow at 5:30 p.m. The menu features a chopped salad with creamy vinaigrette, stuffed pork loin, a side of spaghetti with pomodoro sauce and sauteed spinach.

The students' advisor is Jeff Albertson, of Huntington, a hospitality administration instructor at Ivy Tech.
A limited number of tickets are available for the dinner-show combination on Saturday evening, Nov. 17.
Tickets may also be purchased for just the show, minus dinner, on Saturday.

The Varsity Singers will perform their show twice on Sunday, Nov. 18, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased at Bippus State Bank, First Federal Savings Bank, PNC and Teachers Credit Union, or from any Varsity Singer student.
