Library sponsors photography contest for teens

Youth ages 12 to 18 are encouraged to participate in the Huntington City-Township Public Library's third annual Teen Photography Contest.

Themes for this year's contest include Election Year 2012; Generations - photos of family; Random Acts of Reading - photos of people reading in any way, anywhere; Close to Nature - take only photos, leave only footprints; and Free Choice - photos of any subject or theme you choose.

Teens can enter up to three photographs, which must be the sole work of the teen, with no outside help.
Photos may be either black and white or color, and must have been taken sometime during 2012.

Photos may be submitted in printed or digital format. Printed photos must be a printed 8x10, and may be dropped off or mailed to either library location. They can also be submitted via email to ref@hunting tonpub.lib.in.us as a JPG, PNG or TFF file no larger than 5 MB.

Entries will be accepted until Dec. 31. Entry forms and contest rules are available at the Markle Branch or the children's department at the main library.
