Huntington Baptist Church will be starting a local American Heritage Girls troop.

The troop will be open to girls ages five to 18 years old.

An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 1, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the church.

American Heritage Girls is a Christ-centered scouting program for girls that emphasizes leadership, patriotism and community service as girls earn badges in areas of interest as diverse as outdoor skills, the arts, and science and technology.
