Northwest Elementary School first-grader Jackson Eckert (center) and teacher Nancy Peace (right) watch as Aydon Eppard places his vote in the ballot box during the school's mock election on Monday, Nov. 5. Students discussed the candidates in their classrooms, then obtained photo IDs and went through the voting process. All students voted for president, with Republican Mitt Romney winning over President Obama by a 180-120 tally. Students in the upper three grades also voted for governor, choosing Mike Pence over John Gregg by an 80-57 vote.
