14 Huntington University students to serve at Chicago homeless shelter

Fourteen Huntington University students will serve at a Chicago homeless shelter Nov. 9-11.

As part of the university's annual Urban Plunge, the students will serve at the Cornerstone Community Outreach shelter and at a second location. The project is organized by the Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service, a student-directed organization on campus.

Participating students are Kaitlyn Dreman, of Aurora, CO; Brittany Rooze, of West Lafayette; Molly Gropp, of Orland; Jordan Placencia, of Auburn; David Black, of Stanley, WI; Mallorie Oetman, of Portage; Amy Snider, of Wapakoneta, OH; Danielle Lowden, of Spencerville; McKenzie Urbina, of Peru; Katie Knous, of Decatur; Melanie Clemens, of Bourbon; Mary Whybrew, of Upland; Rebecca Grimes, of Saline, MI; and Shaina Maxwell, of Croswell, MI.
