Holiday show in Roanoke will benefit Honor Flights

A holiday concert will be held in Roanoke on Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. to benefit Honor Flights for veterans.
"A Cottage Christmas Celebration" at the Cottage Event Center will feature seasonal music.

Huntington University theater and music students will perform old favorites, including "White Christmas," "Silent Night" and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year." New pieces will include "Mr. Grinch," "Baby It's Cold Outside" and "All I want for Christmas."

Performing students are Lindsay Hoops-Siewart, Ja'Shon Burkes, Josh Cookingham, Jessica Wagel, Trenidy Cox and Haley Glinz.

Hoops-Siewart and Burkes are also co-directors of the production, with Burkes also serving as choreographer.

A portion of the proceeds benefit the Northeast Indiana Honor Flights program, which provides cost-free trips for military veterans to Washington, DC, to visit sites including the World War II Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery and The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the Cottage Kitchen and Café and Mike Gibson's State Farm, both in Roanoke and the North Huntington and Roanoke branches of Bippus State Bank.

Tickets can also be ordered by calling 483-3508.

The Cottage Event Center is located at 9525 U.S.-24N, Roanoke.
