Pathfinder Community Connections' Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is currently in need of volunteers for the upcoming tax season.
No prior tax experience is necessary and all training and materials will be provided by Pathfinder Services and the IRS.
The program seeks to fill a variety of roles including tax preparation, greeting, scheduling appointments and more. Volunteering hours are flexible and based upon the individual's availability.
Training starts on Dec. 5 and tax preparation begins Jan. 28, 2013. All training sessions and tax preparation will take place at the Pathfinder Services North Campus located at 2824 Theater Ave., in Huntington.
The success of this program is hugely dependent on volunteers.
