Photo provided.

Larry Poulson (second from left) was honored during the Nov. 19 meeting of the Indiana Volunteer Fireman's Association, receiving a 50-year pin and gold card in recognition of his 50 years of membership in the Warren/Salamonie Township Volunteer Fire Department. During his 41 years of active service, Poulson held several positions within the department, including that of fire chief. With him are (from left) Lee Poulson, Larry's son and the current chief of the Warren/Salamonie Township Volunteer Fire Department; and Walt Reiter and Jean Smith, both of the Indiana Volunteer Fireman's Association. The meeting was held at the Mt. Etna Fire Station.
