Evangelical UMC choir to offer 4 Christmas musical shows

The Adult Choir of Evangelical United Methodist Church will offer four performances of its annual Christmas musical.

Performances will be held on Thursday, Dec. 13, and Friday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 16, at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

The choir will perform "A Thrill of Hope" by Claire Cloninger and Camp Kirkland. The musical incorporates carols and worship choruses, as well as new and traditional Christmas songs.

The 24-voice choir is under the direction of Mark Kiefer.

Choir members include Courtney Byerly, Ron Carnes, Nondus Christman, Norma Fisher, Shirley Fuhrman, Glenda Giggy, Judy Harrell, Patty Jacobs, Bob Jennings, Susy Jennings, Vickie Kiefer, Lynda Laatsch, Sharon Laupp, Marti Lundi, Doug McElhaney, Drew McElhaney, Janice McElhaney, Tom McElhaney, Don Morgan, Phyllis Pieper, Matt Stephenson, Myra Sturm, Jeanette Tudor and Allison Voght.

The Youth Choir will also perform a selection in the musical.

Youth Choir members are Erika Ashley, Johanna Ashley, Corynn Barton, Alyssa Hewson, Allison Jennings, Mitchell McElhaney, Elizabeth Moore, Cade Sturm and Carley Sturm.

The narrators are Kathy Carnes and Sam Wright. Nathan Lundy is the sound technician.

All performances are open to the public. A free will offering will be received.

The church is located at 1000 Flaxmill Rd., Huntington.
