School board taking applications for upcoming 4th district vacancy
Monday, December 10, 2012 8:13 AM
Applications are being accepted from persons interested in serving a four-year term on the Huntington County Community School Corporation Board of Trustees.
Applicants must live in the board's fourth district, which includes Lancaster Township, Dallas Township, and precincts 8, 12, and the south half of 12A in Huntington Township.
The successful applicant will succeed Dr. Jennifer Goff, who currently represents the fourth district. Goff's term expires at the end of this year. She did not seek re-election, and no one ran for the position during last November's election.
The term begins Jan. 1, 2013, and ends Dec. 31, 2016.
Those interested in being considered for the position should send a letter listing pertinent qualifications to Superintendent, Horace Mann Education Center, 2485 Waterworks Road, Huntington, IN 46750.
Letters must be received by Monday, Dec. 17, at noon.
