Adult Education offers variety of classes

The Adult Education Office of the Huntington County Community School Corporation will offer a variety of fall classes.

Classes to be offered are Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2007, Intermediate Microsoft Excel 2007, Selling eBay, Microsoft Publisher and Family history using the computer.

Introduction to Microsoft Excel 2007 is designed for the first-time spreadsheet computer user.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel 2007 students will learn how to sort, filter and query a database; create templates; use conditional formatting, hyperlink and use amortization schedules among others.

Selling on eBay teaches the basics of listing and selling items on eBay. Students will also learn how to set up a PayPal account, use "My eBay," correspond with potential buyers and give feedback.

Microsoft Publisher students must some knowledge of word processing. Students will learn how to create newsletters, brochures, flyers and web pages.

In "Family history using the computer," students will learn how to use the Web to search for ancestors, create trees, reports, calendars and more. Students may bring information on their own family tree for assistance.
There will be six weeks of class with day, time and dates to be set for each class, with the exception of "Family history using the computer," which will be held for four week.

There is a cost for each course, with a minimum enrollment of at five students needed for each.

Previously offered classes include ASL Sign Language, ballroom dancing, bridge, cake decorating, computer hodgepodge, country line dancing and conversational Spanish.

These classes can be offered again, provided the required minimum enrollment is met.
