Library holding Chess Time for local youth
Wednesday, January 2, 2013 4:14 PM
The Huntington City-Township Public Library invites youth in grades six through 12 to test their skills at Chess Time.
Chess Time will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Huntington library, 255 W. Park Drive.
Teens can play practice games to build their strategy skills and then, if they wish, enter a chess tournament.
The tournament will be supervised by Jack Oberholtzer. Depending on the number of participants, tournament play may be concluded at a later date.
The program is open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 18 who enjoys playing chess. Snacks will be provided and there is no charge to attend.
Registration is required. To register, call the library at 356-2900.
