GS cookie sales start on Jan. 11
Thursday, January 10, 2013 7:45 AM
Girl Scouts of Northern Indiana-Michiana will begin selling Girl Scout cookies on Friday, Jan. 11.
The sale will continue through March 12.
Available varieties include Thin Mints, Shortbread, Peanut Butter Patties, Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Caramel deLites, Thanks-A-Lot, Lemonades and the new Mango Cremes.
Mango Cremes combine a crispy cookie with the taste of mango with no trans fats, hydrogenated oils or preservatives.
Girls are the main beneficiaries of all Girl Scout cookie activities, directly and indirectly. While learning life skills and earning money for their troops, the girls decide how to spend that money to achieve their troop projects and goals.
The American Red Cross will be partnering with the Girl Scouts in "Give Blood, Get a Cookie." Blood drives will be running from Jan. 11-31. Detailed information and locations can be found at gsnim.org or schedule your appointment at redcrossblood.org.
Visit www.gsnim.org to find a cookie booth near you or to participate in the Cookie Share program, which provides cookies to military troops and personnel.
