Pulse auditions for 'Ramona Quimby' are Jan. 13

Auditions for "Ramona Quimby," the first production of the 2013 season at the Pulse Opera House in Warren, will be held on Sunday, Jan. 13.

Auditions will begin at 2 p.m. in the downtown Warren theater. Roles are available for four men, six women, one boy, three girls and an ensemble of children, teenagers and adults.

"Ramona Quimby" will be directed by Cynthia Smyth-Wartzok, with technical direction by Ron Wartzok. Rehearsals are held Monday through Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., although not all performers will need to attend every rehearsal.
Performances are set for March 1, 2, 7, 8, 9, 14, 15 and 16. Additionally, there are daytime school performances on March 7 and 8. Everyone auditioning must be able to take those two days off school or work to perform for local and area elementary students.

Auditions will consist of readings from the show. No stage experience is required. Those auditioning should bring a list of conflicts to the audition. Familiarity with the book and characters is preferable, but not required.
