Fetters announces he will host series of ‘Mayor’s Night In’ meetings in 2013

Huntington Mayor Brooks Fetters has announced plans to host a series of "Mayor's Night In" meetings.
Fetters will make himself available one evening each quarter for individual meetings with Huntington residents.
The first session will be held on Monday, Jan. 28, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., with subsequent sessions set for April 8, July 8 and Oct. 15. All sessions will be held in the mayor's office on the third floor of the City Building.
"I believe this series of community conversations will be helpful to keep lines of communication open and creative thinking happening between the citizens and those who have been chosen to serve as their leaders," Fetters says.
To schedule a 10-minute appointment, call the mayor's office at 356-1400, extension 212, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Appointments will be scheduled in the order in which calls are received. If all time slots are filled for the Jan. 28 session, callers will be placed on a list for the next event.
In order to give the most residents an opportunity to meet with the mayor, those who have already had one meeting in a year will be put on a waiting list for future sessions.
