The Roanoke Elementary School fifth-graders made a concrete poem in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 21. The students used a typographical arrangement of words important in conveying the elements of poetry or meaningful words to fill in on King's face on a wall at the school. The classes were those of Lisa Everton, Mary Gradeless and Diana Sowers.
