Youth Services Bureau to recognize its volunteers today

The Youth Services Bureau of Huntington County will be hosting its annual volunteer and community recognition dinner today, Jan. 24, 2013.

The dinner will be held at St. Peter's First Community Church, located at 206 Etna Ave., Huntington.

Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. There is no cost to the dinner, but reservations are requested.

"This is our way of recognizing our volunteers and all of those who have worked with us and have supported us in 2012. Without the volunteers and community partners we would not be able to serve the youth and families of Huntington County as we do," stated Jan Williams, executive director. This year's theme is "We're Wild About Our Volunteers".

The agency's impact over the last 25 years through the community collaborations will be spotlighted during the event.

Special recognition will be given to this year's Steven L. Bailey Award recipient, the adult and youth volunteer of the year and the Friends of Youth Award winners.

To learn more about the dinner or the agency, contact the office at 356-9681 or visit the agency at 1344 Maple Drive, Huntington.
