Info session for Hoosier Girls State set for Feb. 3

An informational session for girls in their junior year of high school who are interested in attending the 2013 Hoosier Girls State program will be held on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 2 p.m. at American Legion Post 85, 1419 S. Jefferson St., Huntington.
The Hoosier Girls State program is sponsored locally by American Legion Auxiliary units of Post 7, Post 85 and Post 160, Huntington County.
The 72nd session of Hoosier Girls State will be held June 23-28 at Trine University, Angola. Participants will form mock political parties, and each girl will file and run for election to a city, county or state office. The only cost to those selected to participate is travel to and from Angola.
A delegate to Hoosier Girls State must be a student at an Indiana school or state certified home school, in the junior class, in the upper half of the class academically and sponsored by a unit of the American Legion Auxiliary.
