Silk screen print by HU art professor is selected for exhibit

An exhibit at Artlink in Fort Wayne will feature a piece from Huntington University assistant art professor Barb Michel.
The show runs through Feb. 27.
The Regional University Exhibition features work from visual art faculty members from Huntington University, Indiana-Purdue University Fort Wayne and the University of Saint Francis.
Michel will display a silk screen print.
She earned her bachelor's degree in commercial advertising and art education from Purdue University. She later went on to receive her master's degree in education from Indiana University in Indianapolis and then a Ph.D. in art education curriculum and instruction from Purdue.
Michel has won numerous awards for her work as an art educator. Before joining the HU art department, she taught secondary visual arts for 12 years at the public school level. She has presented at state and local art education conferences, and she serves as the faculty adviser for HU's student art education chapter.
Artlink is located at 300 E. Main St. in Fort Wayne.
