Members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6671, Markle, recently made 40 teddy bear rocking chairs, distributing 37 of the chairs to area children over the Christmas season.

The recipients, age 4 and younger, included post members' families and other children in need.

The project was inspired by 20-month-old James Darren Middleton, son of Adam and Kristina Middleton and grandson of a Post 6671 member.
