A new high-definition MRI is now operational at Parkview Huntington Hospital.

The new imaging machine became operational on Feb. 7.

It integrates a new software application that reduces motion, such as breathing, which will make abdomen, chest and pelvic studies clearer. Image scan time is reduced by almost 50 percent, says Gary Randle, manager of diagnostics and therapeutics at Parkview Huntington.

"It will improve the quality of care we are able to provide to our patients through state of the art imaging with much higher visibility of anatomical structures," Randle says.
