Hailey Alford is the Salamonie Elementary School spelling bee champion.

Hailey Alford, a fifth-grader, won the bee by correctly spelling the word "ferocious." She is the daughter of Sarah Scheiber.

The runner-up in the school bee is Corbin Snow. He is also in the fifth grade.
