Andrews firefighters to serve at fund-raising meal
Monday, February 11, 2013 8:16 AM
Andrews Volunteer Fire Department will host a benefit and auction on March 2 at Miller's Pub in Andrews, starting at 8 p.m.
Firefighter Mike Craft says the public will be served by the Andrews Volunteer firefighters all evening.
"This is the fifth or sixth year for this fund-raiser," he states. "The funds go to help support the work we do."
Throughout the evening, donations will be collected. Snyder Auctions will conduct an auction as well.
"We will be bartending, waiting tables and anything else that is needed," Craft says. At 10 p.m., DJ Corina will open the floor for karaoke, he adds.
Craft says that residents can rest assured that Andrews will still be covered.
"During the event, firefighters from other departments will cover for us," he states. "So if something happens residents will have help ready and available."
Miller's Pub is located at 21 N. Main St., Andrews.
