Warren council discusses rental of water tower space by AT&T
Andre B. Laird. - Wednesday, February 13, 2013 7:26 AM
With no new business to discuss, the Warren Town Council made quick work of a short agenda on Monday, Feb. 11.
Council discussed at length the ongoing contract to be renewed with AT&T for rental of space on the town's water tower.
It was decided by consensus that because the company intends to install additional equipment, the rental fee should be increased, especially in light of the fact that the town of Warren charges the lowest fee of the other towns that have a contract with AT&T.
Member Barb Trosper reported on the Tower Park fencing project. Trosper asked the council for $800 to complete the $15,500 project. Council agreed unanimously.
Member Ethan Stivers gave the Chamber of Commerce report, announcing an upcoming business expo on March 18 as well as a wine tasting event at the Warren United Church of Christ.
After the monthly utility/street department report from Town Utility Manager Curt Day, and reports from the fire department and town marshal, the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting will be held on March 11 at 6:30 p.m.
