Tom Reed (center) won the River Friendly Farmer award at the 2013 Huntington County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) annual meeting and banquet at Crestview Middle School, in Huntington, on Tuesday, Feb. 12. The award recognizes farmers who manage their farms in an economically and environmentally sound way to help protect and improve Indiana's soil and water resources. SWCD Supervisor Joe Carroll (left) and Chairman Kyle Lund presented Reed with the award.
