Marion, Eilers earn Feb. HU Peer Awards

The Huntington University Peer Award recipients for February are Sandy Marion, admissions receptionist, and Dr. Kent Eilers, assistant professor of theology.

The Peer Award, which began in 2003, recognizes the outstanding efforts of Huntington University faculty and staff members. Award winners are chosen each month by they peers.

Marion was recognized by Polly Tribolet, accounts payable/student payroll processor, because of her welcoming personality.

"Sandy is an awesome first impression for HU," Tribolet says. "From the moment you enter the Admissions Office as a campus visitor she does whatever is necessary to make you feel welcome."

Eilers was recognized by Jay Duffer, assistant professor of theater arts, because he is a dedicated, skilled and passionate teacher.

"In our many conversations, he has imparted such wisdom to me in regards to teaching effectiveness," Duffer says. "He is always respectful of students and colleagues. He is graciously giving of his time."
