Ramona Quimby’ to open at Pulse on March 1
Friday, March 1, 2013 7:30 AM
"Ramona Quimby," a play tailored to young audiences, opens March 1 at the Pulse Opera House, Warren.
The unpredictable, exasperating, boisterous and independent Ramona Quimby and her older sister, Beezus, are constantly getting into trouble.
Their middle class family is just like any other, tackling sacrifices and adjustments when the father is unexpectedly fired from his job.
As they discover that life is not always fair, Ramona and Beezus also realize that while sisters may not always agree, they can be good to have around.
Ramona Quimby stars in a series of books by Beverly Cleary, whose material has been adapted for the stage by playwright Len Jenkin.
Performances are March 1 and 2; 7, 8 and 9; and 14, 15 and 16. Shows start at 8 p.m., tickets available in the lobby starting at 7 p.m. and theater doors opening at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets may be reserved online at www.pulseopera house.org or by calling 375-7017.
Approximately 1,000 lower elementary students from Huntington County will attend the show on March 14 and 15.
The Pulse Opera House is located at 127 1/2 Wayne St., Warren.
