Extension to sponsor free session of ‘Walk Indoors’
Monday, March 4, 2013 7:19 AM
The Purdue Extension Office of Huntington County will sponsor a second free session of the "Walk Indoors" exercise class beginning Wednesday, March 6.
This six-week workout regimen, provided by the Family Nutrition Program Assistants, will meet in the Family Living Building at Hier's Park on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and from 11 a.m. to noon at St. Peter's First Church on Etna Avenue.
"Walk Indoors" is a DVD exercise routine developed by Debra Palmer, Ph.D., a professor and nutrition specialist at Rutgers University. She partnered with fitness expert Leslie Sansone to develop this exercise and healthy eating routine.
Clients who participate in the program with the Purdue Extension Office will receive their own copy of the "Walk Indoors" DVD after completing the course, and each session will include samples and recipes for healthy snacks, helping individuals incorporate a nutritional diet into daily life.
For more information about "Walk Indoors," call the extension office at 358-4826 or email smjen firstname.lastname@example.org.
