Hope Christian School announces delay in opening until August 2014

Organizers hoping to operate a nondenominational Christian school in Huntington say the school's opening has been delayed.

Hope Christian School now plans to open August 2014, school leaders have announced. Organizers had originally planned an August 2013 start for the school.

"We decided that at this time the financial shortfall is too great to open in the fall," co-founder and President Kelli Moore says.

Hope Christian School plans to offer full academic instruction based on a biblical foundation for students in kindergarten through grade 12. More information is available on the school's website, www.huntingtonhopechristian.com.
